Well Wishes for Dr. Lang on Retirement
Dr. Patricia Lang will retire from Ball State University (BSU) in December. She shared her expertise with the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) community for over a decade across two awards. We have been fortunate to have Dr. Lang’s expertise as Co-Principal Investigator and Director at BSU since 2016.
She has been a supportive colleague and mentored students so they have thrived in a competitive STEM environment. Students and colleagues share their well wishes.

Our trip to the arctic north, where we braved -45 degrees wind chills on several nights to witness this fascinating chemistry in earth’s atmosphere. I will cherish these memories forever! (Aurora Borealis in Yellowknife Canada, March 7, 2017). –
Thanks for all you have done for LSAMP. I appreciate your encouragement to join and you are definitely one of the reasons I decided to apply. –

Dr. Lang has been the driving force behind the LSAMP program at Ball State for the better part of the last 15 years. Her vision, passion, and commitment to serving underrepresented students has allowed many students to experience the joys and hard work associated with performing and presenting research at all levels. She has built a firm foundation on which the LSAMP program will continue to grow and thrive at Ball State. We thank her for all that she has put into the program and wish her the very best in the next exciting chapter in her life.
