The LSAMP program will work closely with the Academic Centers for Excellence to reach out and encourage incoming freshmen to attend the free Math and English boot camps to help prepare them for Fall classes and/or increase their placement scores so that they can place into the appropriate Math and English courses. Benefits include refreshing and strengthening math skills, beginning college math at a higher level and with more confidence, enjoying engaging math activities, and developing relationships with faculty, staff, and tutors.
