IN LSAMP utilizes graduate assistants and undergraduate students to serve as peer mentors and professional role models for the IN LSAMP scholars.

Celia Ochoa
Ms. Ochoa has served as a liaison for students interested in undergraduate research. Her specialty is in the area of student transfer from community college to a four-year STEM degree. She also serves as a peer mentor and tutor. Currently, she is seeking a dual Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on instrumentation and neural engineering with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry. She is currently a math tutor at the Math Assistance Center (MAC) at the C1-Level, which support the first calculus courses. She also tutors calculus at North Hall, as well as math, science, English, and Spanish with Upward Bound. Ms. Ochoa is also a research assistant for IUSM Dept Emergency Medicine.
Anneka Scott
Program Coordinator
Anneka serves as the program coordinator. In this role she demonstrates strong student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success. She manages communication with scholars and coordinates adaptable professional development, academic, and social activities for the IN LSAMP Scholars. She is passionate about creating change in the world through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion one student at a time.
