Peer Mentoring for First Year Students

As an incoming student, you will have the opportunity to be paired with an upper-class STEM peer mentor at the start of the fall semester to help you connect with other STEM peers, advisors, faculty, and staff, right away! You and your group of peers will get to learn about, and participate in, career and research opportunities that help you succeed in the 21st century workplace. In the Career Pathways Mentoring program, we will form small mentoring groups, which will meet once per week for 9 weeks and come together as a larger group for two events. Participants who complete the program are eligible for further LSAMP benefits, such as serving as a paid mentor, field trips, and LSAMP conference trips. To sign up as a mentee, email the program director at lsamp@bsu.edu.
